Inspired by the form of the lovers' embrace in an oil painting I had seen, I wanted to evoke the feeling of passion though my signature style of impressionist texture. The simple lines of the naked figures created by the strong light contrast in the picture is accentuated by the shadows... hiding identities... the lovers being lost in the moment.
I let the texture run free with this one, I love the contrast of the controlled body lines with the almost frenzied palette knife texture work of the background.
All artwork is signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
